serving God and the communities of Kurri Kurri, Mt Vincent, Weston and surrounds

Mthr Theresa Angert-Quilter

I began as the rector on 4 July 2016. I’m returning to this diocese from a time working in Canberra-Goulburn Diocese. When I was last in Newcastle Diocese I taught New Testament and Greek at St John’s Theological College, Morpeth. It is a great joy to return to many friends in this diocese and to get to know new friends at the Parish of Mt Vincent and Weston.

You are welcome to contact me on 0408 762 651 or the rectory landline 4937 1061.

If you are looking for worship, we have three Churches, St Paul’s Kurri Kurri, Christ Church Mt Vincent, and St Mary’s Weston. The service times are on the service times page, and maps and addresses are on the pages for each of the Churches.

Anglican Faith

As Christians, we believe in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible can be relied upon as the word of God and is a record of God’s revelation of Himself.

As part of the Anglican Church, we trace our roots back to the Early Church. We believe in the truths of the Creeds (The Nicene Creed,  The Apostles’ Creed and The Creed of St Athanasius) and the ongoing life and tradition of our faith. As a worldwide family of Christians, the Anglican Communion gathers together more than 70 million worshippers in 38 Provinces spreading across 161 countries.

We believe that God loves His people and all of creation, and calls us into a right relationship with Him.
