Baptism is a wonderful gift from God. We would be delighted to celebrate this special occasion with you!
Baptism (or Christening) is available to people of all ages. In baptism, we welcome a child or an adult into the family of God. Baptisms are therefore usually conducted during our weekend services. However, they can also be held at another time on arrangement with our parish priests.
While there is no fee for baptism, we do appreciate donations to support the work of our church. We would be happy to talk more about this with you.
Please note that there are no baptisms during the Season of Lent. In 2015 this will be from 18 February to 3 April.
If you are thinking about who might be godparents for your child, please be aware that these people must themselves be baptised Christians.
We look forward to celebrating the gift of baptism with you!
Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
Jesus Blesses Little Children
13 Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; 14 but Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’ 15 And he laid his hands on them and went on his way.
